Maggie’s sophomore album Neutral Ground is a tribute to her transition from her hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana to New Orleans and its beautiful and bittersweet effects. The album is drenched in the hybrid of soul, alt pop and rock ‘n’ roll that Maggie has become known for. On Neutral Ground, Maggie cuts straight to the underlying honesty and supernatural vibes of each song with the slap of a steel drum and the howl of a lyric.
Maggie has spent the majority of 2013 and 2014 on tour with Galactic as their lead singer and front-woman. “Hey Na Na,” performed by Galactic, is a song she co-wrote with The Revivalists’ lead singer David Shaw and is currently the theme song for this season’s Top Chef: New Orleans. It's not uncommon to find Maggie performing on stage with a list of other iconic acts that has included Widespread Panic, Gov't Mule and Charles Bradley, to name a few.
Maggie is currently writing and in the studio recording her untitled upcoming project, set for a release in 2015. Collaborating with a roster of talented artists that includes esteemed producer Fink (Amy Winehouse, Banks, John Legend), the project is poised for success.
